A Tailored Experience
More than a gorgeous house in a stunning setting…
Y Felin is great for down time, playtime, shared time and relaxing, with family, friends or just each other. However, for those who want to add in something a little bit different, we also offer the opportunity to really connect to the locality and to gain an insight into the life of the farm land – both wild and domesticated. We love to have our guests get to know the Farm and its surrounding beauty. You are warmly invited to take a walk around the area with our illustrated seasonal guide, and we can also arrange for a local renowned ecologist to guide you in person. In addition the Farm Manager trains sheepdogs in his spare time and is a keen competitor and if you are interested we can organise a demonstration.
As well as providing you with a guide to the farm which will enable you to take a variety of walks, identify flowers, trees, birds, natural features, geological history and to understand something of the agriculture going on around you, we also offer personalised itinerary suggestions – you simply tell us something about yourselves (ages, budget, interests) and we can suggest how you might spend your time.
Local activites on offer range from mountaineering, mountain biking, fishing and bird watching, to beach combing and food feasting, alternative technology courses and modern art exhibitions, local crafts and livestock experiences, antique auctions and fell running, right through to male voice choirs and sheepdog trials – there is something for everyone and if you are interested in any of these activities, just let us know and we will tell you how, when and where.
